Warren S. Dyment

Gilford-----Warren S. Dyment, 84, of 595 Morrill Street, died at his home on Friday, July 30, 2004.

Mr. Dyment was born June 22, 1920 in So. Weymouth, MA, the son of Walter S. and Veda Mae (Davis) Dyment.

He was raised in So. Weymouth and attended local schools. Mr. Dyment served in the U. S. Navy from March 1941, to June, 1947 and was a survivor of the sinking of the Aircraft Carrier USS WASP CV7 off Guadalcanal during WWII. He moved to Gilford, NH sixty-five years ago and was employed at Manter-Oldsmobile in Laconia for twenty-five years, retiring in June, 1983. After his retirement, he enjoyed skiing and roller skating.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn M. (Wells) Dyment of Gilford, NH; two daughters, Ann Dyment Welch and her husband Robert of Tilton; and Donna Marie Gunby and her husband Walt of Lakeport, NH; two grandchildren; Jonathan and Matthew both of Lakeport; a brother, Dexter Dyment, of Sanbornton, NH; a sister, Pauline Baldelli of Hopkinton, MA; twelve nieces and four nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Monday August 2, 2004 from 1-2 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 2:00 PM. also at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Graham, pastor of the Gilford Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Associate Heart Association, POBox 3049, Syracuse, N.Y. 13220-3049. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
