Julienne (Judy) P. Hawkins

Laconia-----Mrs. Julienne "Judy" P. Hawkins, 89, formerly of 122 High Street, died at the Congregative Living Center, Taylor Community, on Friday, July 16, 2004. She was the widow of Rayner K. Hawkins who died in 1998.

Mrs. Hawkins was born March 24, 1915 in Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Alfred & Annette (Bissonnette) Pomerleau. When she was two years old, the family moved from Canada to Laconia, NH. She worked for the Public Service Company of New Hampshire for several years, retiring in 1945.

Mrs. Hawkins was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Ste. Anne Society.

Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Bessette, of Rutland, MA.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, July 19, 2004 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the church, will be the celebrant.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572 Laconia, NH 03247-0572 or Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942.
