Laconia-----Mrs. Sally (Kopelowitz) Clevenson, 90, of 21 Ledges Drive died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, July 15, 2004. Mrs. Clevenson was the widow of Henry Clevenson who died August 30, 2002.
Mrs. Clevenson was born March 6, 1914 in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Samuel and Ida (Fineburg) Kopelowitz. She was the former owner of Clevenson Quik Laundry & Cleaners.
Mrs. Clevenson was a member of Temple B?nai Israel, Laconia and was a member of the Laconia Emblem Club.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Rodgers Melnick of Pittsburgh, PA and Marshall Lawrence Clevenson of Oakview, CA; two daughters, Marilyn Budd of Chestnut Hill, MA and Deena Clevenson of Townsend, MA; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, Louis Melnick, in 1967; a son, David Clevenson, in 1993, 3 brothers, Robert Kopelowitz in 2002, Carl Kopelowtiz and Irving Kopelowitz.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2004 from 10:00AM-
Noon in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Graveside Service will follow the calling hours at Noon at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, NH.
Shiva will be held on Sunday evening, July 18, 2004, beginning at 7:00PM, in the family room on the third floor of the Congregate Living Center of the Taylor Home, 21 Ledges Drive, Laconia, NH.
Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Harry & Sadie Clevenson Fund, Temple B'Nai Israel, 210 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
