Laconia---Clifton E. Higgins, 77, of 19 Bowman Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, Saturday, July 24, 2004.
Mr. Higgins was born on March 4, 1927, the son of Joseph and Cora (Bracy) Higgins. He served in the United States Army for several years. He worked as a Janitor for Beede Electric in Penacook and for Laconia shoe.
Survivors include 7 sons; Kenneth Higgins, Ralph Higgins both of Laconia, Roger Higgins of Concord, George Higgins of Tennessee, Shawn Higgins of Vermont, Robert Smith of Maine and Wesley Sorrell of Tilton; 4daughters, Yvonne Higgins of Franklin, Robin King and Ramona Smith, both of Maine and Kathleen Riel of Penacook; 4 sisters, June Smith of Belmont, Marilyn Lemay of Laconia, Doris Davis of California and Gail Stockbridge of Gilmanton; 15 Grandchildren; several Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son Danny Sorrell and a brother Ronald Higgins.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 3:00 PM at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the
arrangements.
