Gilford---Brenda Clement Iorio, 61, of 5 Cottonwood Ave., Gilford, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, Friday, July 23, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brenda was born March 26, 1943 in Laconia, the daughter of Walter Joseph Clement and Roberta Peterson. She graduated from Laconia High School. She was the director of the Strafford County Head Start Program for 30 years.
Brenda enjoyed her family, friends, cats, gardening, cook and being an active community partner. She dedicated herself to the Strafford County Head Start Program and the many families who were in need of its special services. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a son Michael and his wife Renee Fisher of Hampton Falls; 2 grandchildren Lauren Fisher and Cole Fisher both of Hampton Falls; a sister Sandra Dion of Mount Airy, MD.; a nephew and 2 nieces.
Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia Tuesday July 27, 2004 from 5-8 PM using the Carriage House entrance.
Services will be held Wednesday July 28, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket.
