Gilford, NH-----Henry F. Parent, 74, of 141 Wild Acres Road and formerly of Plymouth, MA, died at home on Wednesday, June, 30, 2004.
Mr. Parent was born August 10, 1929 in Burlington, Vermont, the son of Harold F. and Georgiana (Cushing) Parent. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Parent lived in Plymouth, MA for many years before moving to Gilford, NH three months ago. He worked for Armstrong Industries for thirty-six years. He enjoyed fishing and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Urna G. (Means) Parent, of Gilford, NH; three sons, Henry F. Parent, Jr. of Rockland, MA; Michael G. Parent of Revere, MA; John C. Parent of Gilford, NH; three daughters, Elizebeth A. Weeks of Plymouth, MA, Diane Gray of Plymouth, MA, Theresa Iarocci of Rockland, MA; eighteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Armond C. Parent of Whitman, MA and William Parent of Hanover, MA; a sister-in-law, Barbara Boisvert of Weymouth, MA; a brother-in-law, Sumner Means, of Hull, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Paul Parent, in 2002.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at St. Bonaventure Church in Manomet, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. or the American Lung Association of NH, 9 Cedarwood Drive, Unit 12, Bedford, NH 03110.
