Lowell, MA-----Donald L. Pidgeon, 61, formerly of Old Lakeshore Road, Gilford, NH, died at the Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, MA on Saturday, July 2, 2005, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Pidgeon was born July 26, 1943 in Bronx, New York, the son of Charles B. and Nora Pidgeon. He lived in Gilford, NH for several years before moving to Manchester, NH where he lived for thirty years. Three years ago he moved to Lowell, MA. He was employed at Pellon in Lowell, MA for over twenty-five years.
Survivors include five sons, Gilbert Pidgeon, of Gilford, Donald Pidgeon of Dover, Jonathan Pidgeon of MA, Scott Pidgeon of New York and Matthew Pidgeon of Manchester; a daughter, Danielle LaFond, of Sanbornton; seven grandchildren, Gabrielle Pidgeon of Boscawen, Dalton Pidgeon of Gilmanton, Riley Pidgeon and Garritt Pidgeon, both of Dover, Kiersten Pidgeon of Manchester and Chelsea LaFond and Alissa LaFond both of Sanbornton; two brothers, David C. Pidgeon, of Laconia and Richard Manson of New York and several nephews and nieces.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 from Noon to 2:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 2:00 PM by Rev. George Soberick, Pastor of the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire, 66 Hanover Street, Suite #101, Manchester, NH 03101-2230.
