Laconia----John A. Bisson, Jr. 68 of 116 A Academy Street, died at the Harborside at Northwood in Bedford, NH on Friday July 28, 2006.
Mr. Bisson was born March 4, 1938 in Laconia the son of John A and Irene (Picard) Bisson, Sr. He was a life long resident of Laconia.
Mr. Bisson serviced in the U.S. Air Force. He was a master plumber and owned and operated the JA Bisson Plumbing & Heating for many years.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was a former director of the Lakes Region Drum & Bugle Corp. He was also a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks # 876 and the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post #1. He was an avid Goldwing rider.
Survivors include a son Michael J. Bisson of Moultonboro; a daughter Diana Divers of Laconia; 3 grandchildren Kevin Divers and Joshua Divers both of Laconia and Mikayla Bisson of Moultonboro; 2 sisters Shirley Proulx of Farmington and Diane Giguere of Lakeport; several nephews, nieces, cousins and his former wife Frances Bisson of Laconia. He was predeceased by his parents.
There are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church 30 Church Street, Laconia Wednesday August 2, 2006 at 10:30 AM The Rev. Gary Kosmowski will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in St. Lambert Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Harborside at Northwood, Activities Fund 30 Colby Ct. Bedford, NH 03110.
