Laconia, N.H.-----Michael D. Bank, 61, of 173 Wentworth Cove Road, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon on Tuesday, July 17, 2007.
Mr. Bank was born November 27, 1945 in New York, New York, the son of Edgar and Marion (Houlahan) Bank.
Mr. Bank served as a Captain in the U. S. Army.
Mr. Bank was a graduate of Cornell University and Boston University School of Management.
Mr. Bank lived in Concord, Mass for many years before moving to Laconia, N. H. and to Lake Winnipesaukee in 2002. He was senior vice president and chief investment officer for F. M. Global Insurance for twenty-seven years, retiring in 2002..
Survivors include his wife, Claudia (Levesque) Bank, of Laconia, N. H.; a son, Matthew B. Bank, of N. Y., N.Y.; a daughter, Lisa M. Bank, of Boston, Mass; a sister, Patricia Showers, of Larchmont, N.Y. and four nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 10:00AM by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, N. H.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lakes Region Conservation Trust, PO Box 1097, Meredith, NH 03253.
