Georgianne Thoroughgood Laconia-----Georgianne Thoroughgood, 65, of 90 South Main Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Friday, July 3, 2009. Mrs. Thoroughgood was born September 4, 1943 in Laconia, the daughter of George and Mary (Pitman) Begin. She was a lifetime resident of Laconia and had been employed at Aavid for thirty years, retiring in 1999. Mrs. Thoroughgood enjoyed gardening, cooking, animals, birds and her dogs. Mrs. Thoroughgood is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Robert E. Thoroughgood, of Laconia; two sons, Douglas of Gilford and Dennis of Belmont; four grandchildren, Shane, Tyler, Blake and Kayleigh; two nephews and two nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs.Thoroughgood was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Marchand. There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 6:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
