Belmont-------Mrs. Alice C. Fitts, 80, of 46 Highcrest Drive, died comfortably at her home, surrounded by her family, after a lengthy battle, on Monday, June 30, 2003.
Mrs. Fitts was born March 16, 1923 in Lakeport, the daughter of Alphonse and Antoinette (Labreque) Couture. She was a long time resident of Belmont and was employed at Laconia Manufacturing for 24 years. She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed crafts.
Mrs. Fitts was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Laconia.
Survivors include her husband and childhood sweetheart, Ernest R. Fitts, of Belmont; two daughters, Gloria L. Chamberlain, of Northfield and Linda R. Gilbert of Belmont; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three brothers, Lucien Couture and Leo Couture both of Laconia and Roger Couture of Vermont; and two sisters, Lillian Coreliss of Lakeport and Rita Bruno of Northfield.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on
Thursday, July 3, 2003 at 9:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at a later date in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246
