Gilmanton Iron Works-----Mrs. Marjorie Ann Mitchell, 70, of 457 Stage Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, June 30, 2003.
Mrs. Mitchell was born June 30, 1933 in Adams, MA, the daughter of Adolph and Daisey (Burris) Louison.
Mrs. Mitchell lived most of her life in of Gilmanton Iron Works and was employed by the Laconia Shoe Company, the Pittsfield Shoe Company, and Wells Fargo Bank in California. She retired in 1988.
Survivors include her husband, Roderick E. Mitchell, of Gilmanton Iron Works; two sons, David Seraiva, and his wife, Shirley, of Laconia, James Seraiva and his wife, Wanda, of W. Stewartstown, NH; a daughter, Dorothy Schumber, and her husband, Arthur, of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; two sisters, Sandy Joyce of Pittsfield, NH and Jane Ross, of Fort Pierce, Florida; and several nephews and nieces.
Memorial Service will be held at her home at 457 Stage Road, Gilmanton Iron Works, on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Linda Bolton, Pastor of the Gilmanton Community Church, will officiate. A reception will be held at the Gilmanton Community Church, Iron Works location, following the memorial service.
