Frank W. Bedard

Belmont-----Frank W. Bedard, 80, of 32 Sleepy Hollow Lane, died at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, on Wednesday, June 30, 2004.

Mr. Bedard was born October 9, 1923 in Sandwich, N.H., the son of Joseph F. and Frances G. (Webster) Bedard.  He served in the U. S. Army during WW II and later served in the New Hampshire National Guard. 

Mr. Bedard lived in the Lakes Region for most of his life.  He worked at Scott & Williams for thirty-three years and then worked for Baron Machine for seven years, retiring in 1988.  He was a former three-time Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Laconia Post #1670; a former Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars District #4 and was a member of the IWOJIMA Survivors Association of Connecticut.

Survivors include his wife, Anna R. (Schaaf) Bedard, of Belmont, NH; a son, Brian Bedard, of Belmont, NH; two daughters, Linda Bernard of Milan, NH and Donna Ouellette of Manchester, NH; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Ferdinand J. Bedard, of Collegeville, PA; two sisters, Dorothy E. Harper of Nashua, NH and Madeline M. Pitchette of New Port Richey, Florida; and several nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by a son, Wayne Fenoff, who died March 14, 2004 and by a daughter, Lorelei Bedard, who died in 1977.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 2:00PM in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, NH.  Rev. Charles Crook, Pastor of the Belmont Baptist Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s own choice.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
