Danbury------Edward C. Esty, 77, of 26 Helburn Drive, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin on Wednesday, June 30, 2004.
Mr. Esty was born August 12, 1926 in Laconia, NH, the son of Edward F. & Ella L. (Smith) Esty. He served in the US Navy during WWII and also served in the New Hampshire National Guard.
Mr. Esty had been a resident of Danbury since 1986 coming from Belmont. He was a former truck driver for Abenaki Lumber Company for a number of years. He also had been employed by Lakes Region Disposal Company and by Pike Industries and was a member of the Belmont Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife Anna (Jewett) Esty of Danbury; 3 sons Edward I. Esty of Northfield, Timothy C. Esty and Donald C. Esty both of Danbury; 4 grandchildren; a sister, Marian D. Esty of Warren; several nephews and nieces.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at Village Cemetery, New Hampton, NH, Tuesday July 6, 2004 at 10:00 AM.
