Velma L. (Bartlett) Joslyn

Sanbornton----Mrs. Velma L. (Bartlett) Joslyn, 45, of 288 Woodman Road, died at her home on Sunday, June 27, 2004.

Mrs. Joslyn was born December 14, 1958 in Franklin, NH, the daughter of Harland L. and Dorothy M. (Woodward) Bartlett. She was raised in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School.

Mrs. Joslyn later moved to Sanbornton where she had lived for the past twenty-one years.  Mrs. Joslyn worked for the Winnisquam School District at the Southwick Elementary School.  She was a member of the Winnisquam Regional High School Volleyball Boosters, a member of the Veterans Firefighters Association in Franklin and a Girl Scout Leader.

Mrs. Joslyn was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Sanbornton.

Survivors include her husband, Walter C. Joslyn of Sanbornton; three daughters, Julie Erin Joslyn of Laconia, Lissa Marie Joslyn and Kiley Doris Joslyn both of Sanbornton;  her parents, Harland & Dorothy Bartlett of Belmont; her brother, Tom Geer, of Henniker; three sisters, Mary Stanley and her husband, Aurlow of Northfield; Glenna Stevens and her husband, Doug, of Bedford, NH, and Sue Bartlett of Utah; her mother-in-law, Lurana (Wareing) Joslyn of Sanbornton, NH; two nephews and two nieces; a sister-in-law and her husband, Cheryl and Mark Grand of Nashua.  She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Everett Joslyn, who died Saturday, June 26, 2004, and by a son, Lorne Avery Joslyn. 

Calling Hours for Mrs. Joslyn and her father-in-law will be held on  Wednesday, June 30, 2004 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service for both Mrs. Joslyn and Everett Joslyn will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 11:00AM at the Second Baptist Church, Upper Bay Road, Sanbornton, NH.  The Rev. Dr. Robert Robertson, pastor of the Church, will officiate. 

Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Sanbornton, NH

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or to the Second Baptist Church of Sanbornton, 322 Upper Bay Road, Sanbornton, NH 03269.
