North Reading, MA-------George E. Levoy, 94, formerly of 140 Main Street, North Reading, died on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Woodbrier Nursing Home in Wilmington, MA. He was the widower of Edna M. (Dalton) Levoy who died in 1985.
Mr. Levoy was born September of 1909 in Charlestown, MA and was raised by Elmon and Alice Levoy of Belknap Mt. Road, Gilford, NH.
Mr. Levoy had lived in Lynnfield, MA for several years before moving to North Reading fifty-five years ago.
Mr. Levoy was employed at the Boston Blacking Chemical Company for thirty-six years, retiring in 1975.
Survivors include three sons, Dana George Levoy of San Antonio, Texas, Albert E. Levoy of Windham, NH and Franklin D. Levoy of Stoneham, MA; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Calling Hours will be held Sunday June 27, 2004 from 6-8 PM using the Carriage House entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday June 28, 2004 at 11:00 AM. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH.
