Alfred B. Marden

Sacramento, CA----Alfred B. Marden, 86, of Sacramento, CA and formerly of Rochester, NH, died at the College Oaks Nursing Home in Sacramento, CA on Monday, June 21, 2004 after a long illness.

 Mr. Marden was born July 2, 1917 in Center Harbor, NH, the son of George H. and Mabel (Hilliard) Marden.  He graduated from Laconia High School and was employed for several years at Scott and Williams and then at Davidson Rubber Co. of Dover, NH.  He was a veteran of WWII, serving in Japan.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara Brown Marden of Sacramento, CA; his daughters, Alfreda Marden Rich of Mesquite, Texas and Carol Marden Wilson of Cumbria, England; step-children, Joyce Hehir Sweeney of Antelope, CA, Paul Birch Hehir of Oregon, Patrick William Hehir of Landing, NJ and Darcy Horne Bulmer of Livermore, CA.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2004 at 10:30AM at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
