Meredith-----Richard “Bam” Staubitz, Jr., 30, of 388 Daniel Webster Highway, died suddenly on Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH.
Bam was born August 21, 1973 in Laconia, NH the son of Judith (Beaton) Staubitz and Richard Staubitz, Sr. He lived in Meredith all of his life and attended Interlakes High School where he was active in basketball. Bam worked for Staubitz Painting.
Bam was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors, his friends and having a good time. Bam was very good friends with many people. He was a great person who loved being with all of his friends and he touched the heart of everyone he met. He will be missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten.
Survivors include his mother, Judith Staubitz, of Meredith; two brothers, Michael Bertholet and Travis Staubitz; a sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Arthur Gilman, all of Meredith; his girlfriend, Patty Sawyer, of Meredith; several aunts and uncles, Judy and Dwight Armstrong of Ossipee, NH; Penny and Larry Ridner of Alton, NH; Margaret and Richard Hurd of Laconia, NH; Jo Klinghammer of Meredith, NH; Mable Marden of Biddeford, Maine; John Hughes of Ashland, NH; Herbie Staubitz of Florida; Carol Socci of Dansville, NY and Dottie Brown of Meredith, NH; seven nephews and nieces; several cousins; and his long time companion, Casey, his dog. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Staubitz, Sr., and by his grandparents, John & Mae Hughes.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2004 from 1-4PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. Pastor Robert Farah will officiate.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004 at 11:00 AM also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family lot at Meredith Village Cemetery, Meredith.
