Denise (Wassell) Tardif

Laconia, NH------Mrs. Denise (Wassell) Tardif, 44, of Laconia died at her home on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 after a long illness.

Mrs. Tardif was born July 14, 1959 in West Conshohocken, PA, the daughter of Stanley A. and Elizabeth M. (McTamney) Wassell.  She had lived in Laconia for twenty-one years and worked for Village West Publishing for fifteen years.

Mrs. Tardif was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.  She was a member of the Lakes Region Ice Cats (Women’s Hockey Team) and a member of the Ladies Twilight Golf League at Pheasant Ridge Country Club.

Survivors include her husband, Brent J. Tardif; two sons, Cody Tardif and Bradley Tardif; and a daughter, Hannah Tardif, all of Laconia, NH; her mother Elizabeth M. Wassell of Syracuse, New York; a sister, Elizabeth Iannuzzi, of Grand Haven, Michigan; four brothers, Ed Wassell of Zionsville, Indiana, Jim Wassell of Syracuse, NY, Stan Wassell of Apalachin, NY and Ben Wassell of Grand Haven,  Michigan; five nieces and nine nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her father Stanley A. Wassell.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2004 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH on Friday, June 25, 2004 at 10:00AM.  Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will celebrate.  Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Holy Family Church in Fairmount, New York at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Laconia High School Ice Hockey Booster Club and/or the Laconia High School Girls’ Soccer Booster Club.  Contributions for either may be mailed to 39 Ashwood Circle, Laconia, NH 03246.
