Laconia-----Shirley L. Jenna, 56, of 11 Hill Street, Lakeport, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday, June 26, 2005 after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
Mrs. Jenna was born April 10, 1949 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Lyman “Pete” and Thelma (Leonard) Jenot. Mrs. Jenna lived in Laconia for the last twenty-seven years. She was employed at M & E Manufacturing for ten years until her illness forced her to discontinue working in December, 1998. She was also an Avon Representative.
Mrs. Jenna enjoyed life, her family and family cookouts, her flower garden, Elvis, wrestling, and taking long trips. She participated in many Arthritis Walks.
Survivors include her husband, Albert W. Jenna, of Lakeport; six sons, Robert R. Follansbee and Russell A. Follansbee, both of Belmont, Peter D. Follansbee of Laconia, Shaun A. Jenna of Bristol, Norman A. Jenna of Florida and Corey W. Jenna of Laconia; twelve grandchildren; four brothers, Lyman H. Jenot of Belmont, Frederick W. Jenot and Allen T. Jenot both of Laconia and John F. Jenot of Belmont; four sisters, C. J. Fugere of Belmont, Irene LaVallee of Tilton, Marilyn Boucher, of Laconia and Patricia Jenot of Belmont and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Rosanna Jenot, in 1997.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from 9:00AM 11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Northern New England Chapter Office, 257 South Union Street, Burlington, Vermont 05401.
