Gilmanton----- Herman Theodore Erickson, 87 of Rt. 140 Gilmanton, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Friday June 23, 2006.
Mr. Erickson was born September 21, 1918 in Woodbridge, CT. the son of Herman T. and Florence (Jennings) Erickson. He had lived most of his life in New Milford, CT. moving to Gilmanton 13 years ago.
Mr. Erickson was a Herdsman for George Pratt (Sunny Valley Farm) in New Milford for over 45 years retiring in 1985. After he retired he lived with his son and daughter-in-law Leif and Mary Ellen Erickson for the past 21 years the past 13 at Varney Hill Farm in Gilmanton.
Survivors include his wife Irene (Wyble) Erickson of Gilmanton; 2 sons Leif Eric Erickson of Gilmanton, Jon Kristen Erickson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 2 daughters Linda Ellen Machno of Seattle, Washington and Yvonne Irene Pryor of Hattiesburg, MS.; 8 grandchildren Sally, Laura, Tony, Gunner, Richie, Becky, Michael and Steven; 2 brothers John C. Erickson of New Milford, CT. and Charles E. Erickson of Wallingford, CT. a sister Dorothy Benidict of Tiverton, R.I.; 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
There are no calling hours.
A private service was held at the family home in Gilmanton.
