Laconia, N. H.---Dorothy Louise (Adams) Ries, 82, of 42 Hamlin Court, died at her home on Thursday, June 14, 2007.
Mrs. Ries was born February 18, 1925 in Seneca Falls, New York, the daughter of Earl John and Emma Helen (Palmer) Adams. She lived in Virginia for a number of years before moving to New Hampshire eighteen years ago.
Mrs. Ries was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Laconia Post #1670 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth N. Ries, of Laconia, N. H.; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Michael and Marilyn Ries, of Gilford, N. H.; a brother, Earl Adams, of Blaisdell, New York and many nephews and nieces, including Dennis Adams, Bart Adams, Michael Adams, Karen Kobacker, Sally Zak, Betty Adams and Eve Pilecki all of New York and many grand nephews and grand nieces. Mrs. Ries was predeceased by a daughter, Shelley Jean Ries in 1983.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007 from 6:30-8:30PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Memorial Service and burial will be held at a later date in Buffalo, New York.
