Belmont, MA----Mrs. Marilyn W. Brown, 77, of 100 Village Hill Road, died at her home on Friday, July 19, 2002.
Mrs. Brown was born November 27, 1924 in Lowell, MA, the daughter of Harry and Helen (Batchelder) Welch. She lived at Weirs Beach, NH for many years before moving to Massachusetts 50 years ago. She continued to summer at her home at 25 Doe Avenue, Weirs Beach, NH.
Mrs. Brown was a sales representative for Chem Scientific in Newton, MA for 15 years until she retired in 1993.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Weirs United Methodist Church, Weirs Beach, NH, and a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, Belmont, MA. She was a graduate of Laconia High School, Class of 1942, Laconia, NH. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Belmont, MA, Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Howard H Brown, of Belmont, MA; two daughters, Pamela B. Meehan of Arlington, MA and Brenda Brown-Wooster of Hudson, MA; six grandchildren, Stephen Brown -Wooster, Johanna Brown-Wooster, Julia A. Brown-Wooster, all of Hudson, MA, Laura Andrews of Worcester, MA, Patrick H. Meehan and James C. Meehan of Arlington, MA, and a brother and sister-in-law, Thorne and Rhoda Spaulding, of Laconia, NH and a sister-in-law, Lois C. Brown of Ft. Pierce, FLA. She was predeceased by a son, Colin H. Brown, in 1968.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 from 11:00AM to Noon at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A funeral service will follow the calling hour at Noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
