Laconia, New HampshireMrs. Marjorie E. Blanc, 81, of 27 Kinsman Drive, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Saturday, June 1, 2002. She was the widow of Donald P. Blanc who died in 1987. Her first husband James H. Zehnder died in 1965.
Mrs. Blanc was born December 18, 1920 in Rochester, New York the daughter of Elmer W. and Francis B. Dinse. She had lived for 56 years in Buffalo, New York, moving to Gilford, NH in 1978. She had also lived in New Mexico.
Mrs. Blanc had worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Curtiss Wright, and also 25 years for Marine Midland Bank in New York.
Mrs. Blanc was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church of Laconia. She was a volunteer at the Lakes Region General Hospital for over 20 years and also at the Taylor Community.
Survivors include a daughter Barbara Sweeney of North Carolina; 2 sons James Zehnder of Buffalo, N.Y. and Mark Zehnder of Houston, Texas; 7 grandchildren Mike Sweeney, Brigid McElroy, Courtney Zehnder, Brendan Zehnder, Lisa Chavey, Mark Chavey and Keith Chavey; 9 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at the St. James Episcopal Church, North Main Street, Laconia, Monday, June 3, 2002. The Jonathan MacKenzie, Rector of the church officiated. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton Street, Williamsville, NY, Saturday, June 29, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Churchyard at the Calvary Episcopal Church, Williamsville, N.Y.
