Barnstead------Mrs. Elizabeth Hope French, 92, of 232 Province Road, died at her home on Friday, June 21, 2002. Mrs. French was the widow of William Clifton Shepard French, Sr. who died in 1962.
Mrs. French was born December 12, 1909 in Gilmanton, NH, the daughter of Adolph and Augusta (Clifford) Blood. She lived in the Pittsfield-Gilmanton area for several years before moving to Barnstead in 1972.
Mrs. French was a member of the Gilmanton Grange for many years.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Ivo S. French of Laconia, Buzzie B. French of Gilmanton and Penny Hope St. Cyr of Gilford; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Huckins of Chichester, NH and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, William C. S. French, Jr., in 1999.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held at the family lot at Loudon Ridge Cemetery in Loudon, NH on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at 10:00AM. Rev. Linda Bolton, Pastor of the Gilmanton Town Ministry, will officate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 N. Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
