Laconia——Daniel W. Nick, 58, of 90 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, died at his home, Sunday, June 2, 2002.
Mr. Nick was born November 11, 1943 in Laconia, the son of Daniel and Irene (Hinds) Nick. He was a life long resident of Laconia. He graduated from Laconia High School in 1961.
Mr. Nick was the former owner of the Laconia Auto Wrecking Co. He was employed as a sales rep. for Sanel Auto Parts Company for 17 years, retiring in June of 2001 due to illness.
Mr. Nick was a member of Mount Lebanon Lodge # 32 F. & A.M. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Laconia Country Club and the Lochmere Golf & Country Club.
Survivors include his wife Carol (Roberts) Nick of Laconia; a daughter Janice Hastings of Allenstown; 1 son William Nick of Nevada; stepson Ed Mansur & his wife Carole of Londonderry; 4 grandchildren; his mother Irene McDonald of Gilford a brother David M. Nick of Gilford. He was predeceased by his father in 1969.
There are no calling hours.
A Memorial service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, Wednesday June 5, 2002 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. George Hankins-Hull, Spiritual Care Coordinator of the Lakes Region General Hospital will officiate.
