Laconia-----Mrs. Beverly R. Varrell, 68, of 63 Pine Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, March 31, 2003.
Mrs. Varrell was born April 24, 1934 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Ralph E. and Annie I. (Hamilton) Wilcox. She lived in Portsmouth and Belmont for several years before moving to Laconia 41 years ago. She was employed at Franklin Brush for over twenty years before retiring in 1996.
Mrs. Varrell attended the First United Methodist Church. She was active with the Laconia Senior Center and the Laconia Elders Friendship Club.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Foster E. Varrell of Laconia; three daughters, Pamela (Fugate) Morel and her husband, Roger, of Laconia, Jeanne Fugate of Laconia and Candi Anne (Varrell) Legault and her husband, Andrew, of Dunbarton, ; a granddaughter, Jeanne (Hoey) Kresco and her husband, Kevin of Laconia, three grandsons, Michael L. Hoey, Sr. and Kyle P. Fugate both of Laconia and Dana B. Legault of Dunbarton; six great grandsons, Zechariah P. Kresco, Adam E. Kresco, Michael L. Hoey, Jr, Jacob D. Kresco, Matthew K. Hoey and Jozef A. Kresco; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Poole of Cleveland, OH and Priscilla Flanders of Laconia; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by five siblings, Mable Barnes, Frederick Wilcox, Edward Wilcox, Louise Patch and Dewey Wilcox.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2003 from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 11:00AM. Rev. Victoria Wood Parrish, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be later in the spring in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH
