Laconia---Robert W. (Shute) Dow, 66, of 95 Church Street, died at his home Saturday, March 20, 2004.
Mr. Dow was born May 14, 1937 in West Stewartstown, NH the son of Ernest and Odessa (Dow) Shute. He had lived most of his life in the Lakes Region.
Mr. Dow was employed at the Lakes Region General Hospital in the Housekeeping dept. and retired from Joyce Janitorial Services.
Mr. Dow loved camping and hunting with his sons in the summer and he also enjoyed the ice fishing derby during the winter. He loved to draw sketches of scenery.
Survivors include 5 sons Robert W. Dow and Anthony W. Dow both of Laconia, Michael A. Dow of Gilford, Tracy A. Dow of Franklin and Christopher S. Dow of Manchester; 4 grandchildren Jessica Dow, Eric Dow, Ryan Reed and Anthony W. Dow, Jr.; 2 sisters Joan Gordon of Meredith and Joyce Hildreth of Belmont; 4 sisters-in-law Alice Shute, Gertrude Shute, Marylin Shute and Elsie Shute; several nephews and nieces. Besides his parents he was predeceased by 6 brothers and a sister, Henry Shute, Ralph Shute, Charles Shute, Eugene Shute, Raymond Shute, Richard Shute and Ruth Sargent.
Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Laconia Wednesday March 24, 2004 from 2-3 PM using the Carriage House entrance. Services will follow at the funeral home at 3:00 PM.
