Alphage "Al" Veniza

Gilford-----Alphage "Al" Vezina, 88, of 15 Bacon Drive died at his home on Tuesday, March 2, 2004.

Mr. Vezina was born February 29, 1916 in Penacook, NH, the son of Eugene A. and Laudina (Lablanc) Vezina.

Mr. Vezina was employed at the Laconia State School for thirty-two years. He was a member of the Married Farmers of Belknap County and a member of the Oak Hill Golf Course.

Mr. Vezina was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Laconia.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Paula Buckle, of Belmont, NH; two stepsons, Carl Sujko of Wakefield, MA and John Sujko of Horseheads, NY; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Florence Cantara and Anita Stolte both of Penacook, NH; one brother, Michael Vezina of Penacook; nine nieces and sixteen nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Isabel Vezina, in 1984; by his second wife, Roberta Vezina, in Sept., 2003; by four sisters, Theresa Angwin, Aurora Whitney, Joan Cook and Helen Spain; and by a brother, Leon Vezina.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 11:00 AM at St. James Episcopal Church, 876 No. Main Street, Laconia, NH. Rev. Jonathan MacKenzie, Rector of the Church, will officiate

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 876 No. Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
