Franklin---Cecil J. Leonard, Sr. 77, of 19 Pearl Street, Franklin died Saturday March 5, 2005 at the Genesis ElderCare Laconia Network.
Mr. Leonard was born June 8, 1927 in Hardwick, VT., son of Fred and Eva (Heath) Leonard. He had lived in the Lakes Region for many years.
Mr. Leonard had been employed by the City of Laconia Public Works Dept. for many years and later was employed by Del R. Gilbert & Son Block Company.
Survivors include his wife Mary (Stone) Leonard of Franklin; 2 daughters Judy McIntire and her husband Ted of Franklin and Joan Leonard; 4 sons Rick Stone of Fla., Cecil John Leonard, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Weirs Beach, James Leonard of Franklin and Joseph Leonard and his wife Jennifer of Northfield; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister Helen Lawrence and her husband Ernest of Gilford; nephews and nieces.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held in the spring in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Community Health and Hospice, Inc. 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
