Laconia----Rita M., Dunbar, 81, formerly of 639 Union Avenue died at the Concord Hospital, Concord on Wednesday, March 15, 2006.
Mrs. Dunbar was born February 26, 1925 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of William and Donna M. (Brace) Murphy. She was raised in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1943.
Mrs. Dunbar lived in Moodus, Connecticut for several years before returning to Laconia in 1950. She was employed at Scott & Williams for several years.
Survivors include two sons, Raleigh Dunbar and his wife, Donna, of Barnstead and Tim Dunbar and his wife, Susan, of Saugus, MA; a daughter, Donna Lindberg of Lowell, MA; five grandsons; a sister, Eileen Moulton, of Manchester; a brother, Durwood Woodman, of Ledyard, Ct. and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, C. Michael Blake, in 1993 and by two brothers, Leo Murphy in 2005 and Thomas Murphy in 2002.
According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held in the Spring at the family lot at South Road Cemetery, Belmont, NH. Date and time to be announced.
