Robert S. Lacroix

Belmont-----Robert S. Lacroix, 83, of Belmont, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
Mr. Lacroix was born July 2, 1926 in West Rumney, N.H., the son of Albert W. & Grace E. (Morin) Lacroix. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during WWII and had lived most of his life in Belmont.
Mr. Lacroix was a self-employed lumberjack and had also worked in the construction field for Weaver Construction and Harper Construction.
Mr. Lacroix was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #58 of Belmont and was past Dept. Vice Commander. He was a very active member of the Belmont Senior Center where he was chairperson on the Advisory Board.
Mr. Lacroix is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, F. D. ‘Jerry” & Kathy Lacroix, of Gilford and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lacroix was predeceased by a brother, Maurice C. Lacroix, and by a sister, Cecille Dorothy Henry, and by a half-sister, Bertha Morin.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, N.H. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00AM.
Spring burial will be in the family lot in St. John Cemetery, Tilton, N.H.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Parish, PO Box 285, Belmont, NH 03220 or to the American Legion Post #58, PO Box 376, Belmont, NH 03220-0376.
