Laconia, NH-Ralph P. Dube, 90, of 22 Kinsman Drive, Laconia, NH, and long time resident
of Center Ossipee died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia.
Mr. Dube was born December 30, 1911 in Turners Falls, MA., the son of Frank X. and Dorilla (Girard) Dube. He attended St. Anns Parochial School in Turners Falls and graduated from Turners Falls High School and was class president for 4 years and played football for 4 years. He attended the University of Mass. 1931-1934.
Mr. Dube worked for Rowell & Watson Oil Company, Dover, from 1935-1938 and started the Dube & Murphy Oil Company, Center Ossipee, in 1938. In 1960 he bought out Foster Oil, Wolfeboro, and sold Dube & Murphy Oil Company to David Orino in 1968. He also started Ossipee Reality Company in 1956.
Mr. Dube served in the US Army during WWII from 1942-1945 and was a member of the American Legion Post of Center Ossipee. He was a 40 year member and past president of the Center Ossipee Rotary Club and served for 40 years as a director of the Carroll County Y.M.C.A. and served as president twice. He was also a charter member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Dube was a director of the White Mt. National Bank from 1964-1973. In 1973 he became President of the Kingswood Bank and retired in 1982 because of age as President of the Kingswood Bank & Trust.
Mr. Dube was an original committee member of the Kingswood Regional School and served on the budgett committee for the Town of Ossipee and was Chairman for several years. He served as Chief Constable for the town of Ossipee for 10 years 1946-1956. He enjoyed hunting, hiking and golf.
Survivors include his wife Edna (White) Dube of Laconia; a sister Elaine Kershaw of Manchester, Mass.; a brother Leo P. Dube of Center Ossipee; many nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Of The Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH, Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Rev. George Soberick, Pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover.
