George D. Deveau

Gilford-----George D.  Deveau, 75, of 2600 Lakeshore Road, died at his home on Wednesday, May 5, 2004.

Mr. Deveau was born April 9, 1929 in Jamaica Plain, MA, the son of Peter H. and Bonita M. (Doucette) Deveau.

Mr. Deveau served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was employed at Wilmington Ford in Wilmington, MA and was also employed at Hanscom Air Force Base.  He moved to New Hampshire twenty years ago from Wilmington, MA.  Mr. Deveau enjoyed camping.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Manning) Deveau, of Gilford, NH; two sons, David M. Deveau and George F. Deveau; three daughters, Joanne M. Deveau, Maureen A. Bedrosian, Elizabeth H. Fougerousse; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Deveau and Henry Deveau; five sisters, Marie Rohret, Lillian Coullahan, Mildred Guggenbricker, Veronica Deveau and Verna Steele: a sister-in-law, Linda Deveau: several nephews and nieces

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 7, 2004 from

7:00-9:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 11:00AM.  Rev. George Soberick will be the celebrant.        

Burial will be at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Carey House c/o Laconia Salvation Army, 177 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH 03246   Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
