Laconia-----Mrs. Lois Sybil (Moore) Morse, 77, of 67 Ledges Drive, Taylor Community, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at the Congregate Living Center, Taylor Community.
Mrs. Morse was born in Manchester, NH on September 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Levi A. and Esther Sybil (Haselton) Moore.
Mrs. Morse graduated from Central High School, Manchester, and attended Eliot Hospital School of Nursing as well as the University of New Hampshire. She worked for fifteen years for the General Motors Acceptance Corp. and later was employed as office manager and chief clerk and a member of the Board of Directors of the Brown and Soulliere Insurance Co. of Worcester, MA for ten years.
Mrs. Morse was a summer resident of Lake Winnipesaukee for many years before moving to the Lakes Region upon retirement.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Anthony Elvin Morse, of Laconia; three sisters, Priscilla Ackerman of Goffstown, NH, Nancy Blake of Port Charlotte, Florida and Gayle Kelly of Bolton, MA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2004 from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-8:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery.
