Joseph P. Znaidousky

Laconia-----Joseph P. Znaidousky, 81, formerly of 92 Water Street, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Golden Crest, Franklin, NH where he had resided for the last few years.

Mr. Znaidousky was born February 24, 1923 in Laconia, NH, the son of William and Annie (Zuluki) Znaidousky.  He was a long time resident of Laconia and was a graduate of Laconia High School.  He attended Tilton Prep and the University of New Hampshire.  He was also a graduate of New England College.  While attending Laconia High School, Tilton Prep and UNH, he was an outstanding member of the football teams. 

Mr. Znaidousky served in the U. S. Army Air Corps and participated in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII.  After returning from WWII, he was a part-time football coach at Laconia High School.  He was employed at Laconia Malleable Iron Co. until retiring due to injuries received during WWII.        

Mr. Znaidousky was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia

Survivors include one brother, Alfred Znaidousky, of Andover, MA; one sister, Frances O’Donnell, of Andover, MA; one nephew; and three nieces.  He was predeceased by one brother, George Znaidousky and by five sisters, Katherine Znaidousky, Verna Bowen, Eselle Keefe, Mary Znaidousky and Antonia McDowell.

A Calling Hour will be held on Friday, May 14, 2004 from 9:30AM-10:30AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH.  Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant.

Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH
