Loudon----Kenneth Charles Pearl, 86 of 466 Loudon Ridge Road, died at his home on Tuesday, May 31, 2005.
He was born April 11, 1919 on Loudon Ridge Road the son of "Charlie" Amos Pearl & Zilla Nancy Pease. Mr. Pearl was a Husband, Father, Churchman, Farmer, & Hunter. Growing up, he attended a little country school "just over the hill". He attended "Junior Business School" at the same school. He met his wife Evelyn Sanborn at Belmont Baptist Church in 1937 and they were married Feb. 26th, 1938. Kenneth was an active member of the local 4H club. Kenneth started his farm with a few chickens and grew to about 1200.
In addition he raised squash, potatoes, corn, tomatoes, & shell beans to sell at the local markets. He also raised pigs and milk cows. During this time, for about 30 years, he drove a Merrimac Valley school bus. Somewhere around 50 years old, he sold his chickens and concentrated more on raising corn and vegetables, eventually selling most of the farm to his brother Cecil.
Around 1985, He retired from driving school bus but continued to help work on the farm. Mr. Pearl has been attending the Family Bible Church for about 66 years. Kenneth enjoyed hunting with family and friends every year right up until 2003 and he usually got his deer.
He was generous, faithful, quiet and kindhearted. He had wisdom of heart and soul for anyone who inquired. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his daughters, June & Janet; grandsons, Daryl, Dallas & Beorne; granddaughters, Darlene & Rhonda; and some 25 great and great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two brothers Everett Dow and Cecil Pearl.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Ken's life will be held on Friday June 3, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Family Bible Church in Loudon. Burial will follow in the Loudon Ridge Cemetery.
