Center Barnstead-----Donna L. Dunbar, 46, of 453 Peacham Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Mrs. Dunbar was born May 14, 1959 in Manchester, NH, the daughter of Donald F. and Florence T. (St. Laurent) Blajda. She was raised in Gilford and graduated from Gilford High School in 1977 and from the New Hampshire Vocational-Technical College in Laconia in 1981. She lived in Gilmanton for a few years years before moving to Center Barnstead twenty years ago.
Mrs. Dunbar was an electronics technician and worked as a temp at Heidelberg in Durham, Cabletron in Rochester and National Power Products in Belmont. She also worked at the St. Casimir Elementary School in Manchester. Mrs. Dunbar was a member of the Wolfeboro Kingdom Hall. She loved horses, carpentry and landscaping.
Survivors include her husband, Raleigh “Lee” E. Dunbar, Jr. and two sons, Joel M. Dunbar and Tucker N. Dunbar, all of Center Barnstead; her mother, Florence Blajda, of Gilmanton; a brother, Donald W. Blajda of Canterbury; one niece and several nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 4:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
According to her wishes, there will be no funeral service.
Private burial will be in the family lot in Riverview Cemetery, Barnstead.
In lieu of Mass cards, Mrs. Dunbar has requested that memorial donations be made to the Joel & Tucker Benefit Account, Northway Bank, c/o Karen Hickey, 400 S. Main Street, Laconia, NH.
