Belmont-----Linda Marie Poire, 58, of 677 Union Road, Belmont, died at her home on Saturday, May 13, 2006 after living with cancer for a year. She was the widow of Peter Poire who died in December, 2004.
Mrs. Poire was born June 15, 1947 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Theodore and Rita (Duval) Blanchard. Mrs. Poire was a lifelong resident of Belmont and was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish. Mrs. Poire was an auxiliary member of the American Legion and volunteered with her late husband with the Atlas PyroVision Production. She enjoyed gardening and refurbishing stuffed toys which she would distribute to those in need and loved her pets.
Survivors include two daughters, Trudy Brown, and her fiancé, Keith Fletcher and Tricia Beauchesne and her husband, Shawn, all of Belmont; four grandchildren, Kelsey Brown, Tate Beauchesne, and Tabitha Beauchesne, all of Belmont and Jordan Fletcher of Portsmouth; a brother, Richard Blanchard, of Laconia; three sisters, Sherry Beauregard of Gilford, Donna Manning of Laconia and Marsha Campbell of Belmont; her mother-in-law, Stasia Poire, of Belmont; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 from 5:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, NH.
A private burial will be held at a later date in the family lot in South Road Cemetery, Belmont.
