Belmont—-Mrs. Shirley M. Danforth, 69, formally of Main Street, Belmont, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, Sunday, March 24, 2002. She was the widow of Clayton M. Danforth who died in 1977.
Mrs. Danforth was born December 15, 1932, in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Albert and Stella (Brake) Allard. She was a resident of the Belknap County Nursing Home for the past two months coming from the Epsom Manner, Epsom, and of Main Street, Belmont for over 60 years.
Survivors include a son Gary M. Danforth of Belmont; 2 daughters Cathy A. Danforth of Belmont and Jeannie E. Crockett of Belmont; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters Isabelle Reed of Belmont and Deloris Blanchard of Swanzey; several nephews, nieces. She was pre-deceased by her two brothers Albert Allard and Robert Allard.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Private family graveside service will be held in South Road Cemetery, later this spring.
