Gilmanton——————Mrs. Genevieve L. Wilkens, 84, of Province Road, died at her home on Friday, March 8, 2002. Mrs. Wilkens was the widow of William B. Wilkens who died in 1997.
Mrs. Wilkens was born June 24, 1917 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of Frederick and Linnia (Anderson) Schubert. She lived in New York for many years before moving to Gilmanton 24 years ago. She was self-employed in the advertising business in New York City.
Survivors include a stepson, John Wilkens, of Gilmanton; three stepdaughters, Wendy Wilkens of California, Phyllis Weston of Gilmanton and Joanne Wilkens of Gilmanton; several step grandchildren; and two caregivers, Doreen Moorehead and Donna Allen.
There will be no calling hours.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
