Manchester---Raoul "Ralph" J. Beauparlant, 82, former long time Manchester resident, died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia. He had been a resident of the New Hampshire Veterans Home, Tilton, for the past four years. He was the widower of Aniela "Nellie" (Bigos) Beauparlant who died in 1991.
Mr. Beauparlant was born July 19, 1920 in Manchester the son of Francis and Josephine Bournival Beauparlant. He had lived in Manchester most of his life. He served in the US Army Air Force during WWII.
Mr. Beauparlant had been employed as a manager at Surfine Associated Grocers for many years. He was a Special Police Sergeant for the City of Manchester for 17 1/2 years. He had been a member of the Washington Lodge #61 F. & A. M., Manchester, NH since 1959.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Henry E. "Hank" and Denise Beauparlant of Gilford, NH; 2 grandsons Chris Beauparlant of Vernon, N.J. and Brian Beauparlant of Gilford. NH; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rachel Piet of Manchester, NH and Alice Hebert of Florida; many nephews and nieces.
Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, Friday, November 15, 2002 from 7-9 PM using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cathedral, 166 Pearl Street, Manchester, NH. Burial will follow in the family lot in the Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Goffstown, NH.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to N. H. Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247 or to the N. H. Veterans Home Activities Fund, 139 Winter Street, Tilton, NH 03276.
