Laconia, NH-----Mrs. Rita M. (Doucette) Marden, 77, of 62 Winnisquam Avenue died at the Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center on Friday, November 21, 2003.
Mrs. Marden was born May 8, 1926 in Franklin, NH, the daughter of Henry and Dora Doucette.
Mrs. Marden was raised in Franklin and lived in Laconia for many years. She worked at Cormier Hosiery for several years and later was employed by the Laconia State School & Training Center for 25 years.
Mrs. Marden was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Wilkins Smith Post No. 1.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Henry C. Marden, of Laconia, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Irene Marden of Gilford, NH and Richard and Diane Marden of Kentucky; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, a grandson, one brother and one sister.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2003 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2003 at 11:30AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH. Burial will follow in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, NH.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
