Gilford-----Arthur "Dean" D. Osborne, 64, of 2600-3 Lakeshore Road, Lakeshore Park, died at the Laconia Genesis Eldercare on Monday, November 8, 2004.
Mr. Osborne was born January 15, 1940 in Winchester, MA, the son of Arthur K. and Charlotte (Hamlin) Osborne. He was raised in Lynn, MA and graduated from Lynn English, Class of 1957.
Mr. Osborne lived in Chelmsford, MA for thirty-four years before moving to Gilford, NH. He wintered in Bare Foot Bay, Florida. Mr. Osborne served in the U. S. Air Force for four years. He was a field service engineer for Honeywell - Bull where he worked for thirty-two years. Mr. Osborne was a past member of the Board of Directors of Lakeshore Park. He enjoyed fishing year round and enjoyed boating and playing cribbage.
Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Bettie A. (Searles) Osborne, of Gilford, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean A. and Carol Osborne of Merrimac, MA and Lance D. and Kathleen Osborne of Groton, MA; four grandchildren, Chad Osborne, Kristina Osborne and Ashley Osborne, all of Groton, MA and Elizabeth Osborne of Merrimac, MA; his mother, Charlotte Osborne, of Haverhill, MA; a brother, Kenneth Osborne of Haverhill, MA; a sister, Charlotte "Evelyn" Clement of Shelburne Falls, MA and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Osborne, and by a brother, Ralph E. Osborne.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 5:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Joel D. Nason will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH.
