Laconia---Gladys R. Ainsworth, 86, of 25 Union Ave. died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, Saturday, November 6, 2004. She was the widow of William M. Ainsworth, Sr. who died in 2000.

Mrs. Ainsworth was born October 16, 1918 in Bartlett, NH the daughter of Perlon and Beatrice (Aldrich) Butterfield. She had lived in Belmont for many years before moving to Laconia.

Mrs. Ainsworth was employed at Cormier Hosiery for many years.

Survivors include 5 sons, Dana L. Ainsworth and Herbie R. Ainsworth, both of Belmont, William M. Ainsworth, Jr. of Bridgewater, Robert Davis of Laconia and John D. Monahan of Bristol; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a sister, Annie McAuliffe of Gilford; a nephew and 2 nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Douglas Ainsworth, in 1989, a grandson, Dana L. Ainsworth, in 1984 and a brother, George Butterfield.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Bartlett Village Cemetery, Bartlett.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of NH, 9 Cedarwood Dr. Unit 12, Bedford, NH 03110.
