Laconia---Mrs. Thelma R. Fitzgerald, 87, of 30 County Drive, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Saturday, November 13, 2004. She was the widow of Raymond P. Fitzgerald, Sr. who died in 1985.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was born July 11, 1917 in Malden, MA the daughter of Thomas and Emma (Rouillard) Fitzpatrick. She had lived most of her life in MA, moving to Laconia in 1995 from Woburn, MA. She had been employed at Millham Manufacturing for 15 years.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was a former communicant of St. Charles Church in Woburn, MA and a member of the Holy Rosary Society of the Church. She was a volunteer and an aide at the Choate Memorial Hospital in 1989 and also a volunteer at the Senior Citizen Center in Woburn for many years.
Survivors include her son and his wife Raymond P. Fitzgerald and Carol of Laconia; 4 grandchildren Daniel Morrill and David Morrill and Michael Fitzgerald all of Laconia and Robert Fitzgerald of Belmont; 10 great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 16, 2004 from 9-10 AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 10:00 AM using the Carriage House entrance of the funeral home.
Burial will be in Wood Brook Cemetery, Woburn, MA.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
