Gilmanton-----Michael C. Lester, 62, formerly of 372 Province Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, on Saturday, November 13, 2004. He had been a resident of 11 Apple Ridge Road in Laconia for the past two years due to a long illness.
Mr. Lester was born April 18, 1942 in Concord, NH, the son of Charles and Esther L. (Robinson) Lester. He had been a resident of the Laconia State School and Training Center for many years before moving to Gilmanton in 1980.
Mr. Lester had been employed by Easter Seals in Laconia for a number of years. He had also worked at Meredith Harley-Davidson for a number of years. He was active in the Special Olympics and had attended the Laconia Adult Education Program.
Survivors include his caregivers, Jane & Charles Gove, of Gilmanton as well as many friends.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Loudon Ridge Family Bible Church, Loudon, NH on Friday, November 19, 2004 at 6:00PM. A light lunch will follow the Memorial Service. Pastor Stephen Ludwick, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Loudon Ridge Family Bible Church, 694 Loudon Ridge Road, Loudon, NH 03307.
