Somersworth-----George I. Pennock, 56, of 7 Bernier Street, died at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover, NH on Tuesday, November 23, 2004.
Mr. Pennock was born April 17, 1948 in Laconia, NH, the son of George A. and Helen (Grace) Pennock. Mr. Pennock graduated from Laconia High School in 1966 and was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH. He moved to Somersworth, NH thirty-six years ago and was employed at Saybolt for several years as a petroleum chemist. Mr. Pennock received a liver transplant in February of 1990. He retired in 2000 due to illness.
Mr. Pennock enjoyed reading and had an appreciation for sports cars.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Marie Joanne (St. Pierre) Pennock of Somersworth, NH; a daughter, Robin A. Wilson, of Lakeland, Florida; two aunts, Jean Hamilton of Laconia, NH and Cynthia Walker of Randolph, Vermont; one uncle, James Pennock, of Gilmanton, NH and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2004 from Noon to 1:30PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home (Whipple Avenue entrance), Laconia, NH followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00PM at the Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Meeting House Road, Gilmanton, NH.
