Meredith----Katie Sallies, 70, of 182 Waukewan Street, died on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the Concord Hospital, Concord, NH.
Mrs. Sallies was born January 30, 1934 in New Hampton, NH, the daughter of Carl and Dorothy (Fowler) Stevens. She was raised in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School. She had been a resident of Meredith for forty-eight years.
Mrs. Sallies enjoyed knitting, animals and watching soap operas.
Survivors include her husband, David Sallies, of Meredith, NH; four sons, David Sallies, Jr. and Peter M. Sallies both of Meredith, NH , Paul R. Sallies of New Hampton, NH and Scott T. Sallies of Meredith, NH; three daughters, Bonny J. Sallies-Morris of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Darlene A. Ballou of New Hampton, NH and Tammy L. Belyea of Plymouth, NH; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Lurlyn Fowler, and a sister, Vera Pierce, both of Laconia, NH and several nephews and nieces.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 from 7:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
