Cudjoe Key, Fla-------Filbert F. Simonds, 78 of 701 Spanish Main Drive #460 Summerland Key, Fla. and formerly a resident of Laconia, NH died at the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, MA Tuesday, November 1, 2005.
Mr. Simonds was born September 12, 1927 in Orange, N.J. the son of Filbert F. and Helen Simonds, Sr. He served in the US Navy during WWII.
Mr. Simonds was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Lewis & Saunders, Inc. for many years. After he retired he moved to the Florida Keys to enjoy fishing and boating. He returned each summer to be with his family in the Lakes Region.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Simonds of Cudjoe, Fla; 4 daughters, Karen Simonds of Laconia, NH, Linda Hubbard of Gilmanton, NH, Pamela Simonds-LaRoche of Plaistow, NH and Deborah Simonds of Seattle, Wash.; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Woodrow of Pittsburgh, PA; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife, Doris M. (Schmidt) Simonds, who died in 1991.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Central New Hampshire Kidney Center in Memory of Doris Simonds, 87 Spring Street Laconia, NH 03246.
